In the beginning of the story Anna Karenina chapter seventeen Oblonsky comes to train station to welcome his sister Anna Karenina (finally) comes to Moscow, and Vronsky also comes to train station to pick-up his mother. In the train station this is the first time that Vronsky meets Anna Karenina, it seem that they have good opinion with each other. Anna already has a husband his name is Karenin and she also has a child name Seryozha. The reason why Anna comes to Moscow is she gonna helping his brother Oblonsky to fix the relationship with his wife Dolly. After the long conversation and thinking, Dolly decides to forgive her husband Oblonsky.
In the middle of the story Anna Karenina. In a ball, Kitty realize that Vronsky does not like she any more, because of Anna Karenina. Vronsky start to love Anna Karenina, in the ball, Vronsky even doesn't want to dance with Kitty, it makes Kitty really sad. After Levin's unsuccessful propose marriage, he goes to talk with his brother, and then he back to the country, his home.
The next day of the ball, Anna Karenina decides to back to Petersbug, there is where she comes from. Anna decides back early to Petersbug because first, she feel she offend Kitty, because Vronsky doesn't love Kitty any more, he loves Anna. Other reason is Anna Karenina also fell love with Vronsky, but she doesn't want to betray her husband, so she wants to leave early, and forgets Vronsky. In the middle of the trip from Moscow back to Petersbug Anna notice that Vronsky also is on the train, because he wants to make Anna loves he and he actually is from Petersbug, too. When they arrive Petersbug, Anna's husband prejudice Vronsky, he is meaning don't intermingle their family. So in the end of the First part of the story end on Anna Karenina and Vronsky are back in Petersbug.
Considerable Section:
"Wait. When he was specking to me, I confess I did not quite realize the whole horror of your opinion. I only saw his position and that the family was on the point of disintegration . I felt sorry for him, but now that I've talked to you, I, as a woman, realize something else. I see your suffering and I can't tell you how sorry I am for you. But, Dolly, darling, I fully understand your suffering, but there is one thing I do not know: I do not know-I do not know how much love there still is your heart for him. You alone know that I mean whether there's enough love for you to be able to forgive him. If there is, then forgive him." (P.84)
Explain: In this quote, the whole thing is from Anna Karenina's mouth, so first she says when his brother Oblonsky tells her the situation, she doesn't realize the whole horror of Dolly's opinion, and she says she understand now, and hopes Dolly can forgives her brother Oblonsky.
In my opinion this quote is a important part of story because of several reasons. First, because Oblonsky tells the story about he and his wife, they gonna breaks off relation, so Anna comes to Moscow, to fix the relationship between his brother Oblonsky and her sister-in-law Dolly, it is important the reason is, if Oblonsky and Dolly doesn't want to break off their relationship, Anna will not comes to Moscow, and she won't meet Vronsky, and the story won't continue. Second, this quote is almost in the end of Dolly and Anna's conversation about Anna wants Dolly to forgive her husband, at last Anna success let Dolly forgives her husband. This quotation also is the important part of the conversation, because Anna let Dolly remember she still loves her husband, so she decides to love he again. Third, when Anna says those words, she doesn't know that what she say is not working on her. For example Anna doesn't really understand Dolly's suffering, if she knows, she won't betray her husband and fell in love with Vronsky, and when she says "how much love there still is your heart for him" I think Anna want to answer non, maybe she doesn't answer, but from her action and thinking, we can find some point that shows Anna doesn't have much love in her heart for her husband Karenin, maybe the biggest reason is her husband is twenty years older than Anna. So because Anna doesn't really love her husband, she will fell in love with Vronsky.
Now I finish reading the first part of the story, by the way the doggy picture mean comfort.
